On January 30, 2025, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Ismatullo Nasredin received copies of Credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Republic of Tajikistan (with residence in Baku) Mr. Christopher Martinez Berroteran.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of establishing and strengthening bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Venezuela in the political, economic and humanitarian spheres given the need to create a legal framework for relations.
