On October 18, 2026, in Baghdad on the sidelines of the 52nd Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Idibek Kalandar held bilateral meetings with the Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria in charge of National Community Abroad Sofiane Chaib and the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (head of Saudi delegation) Khalid Al-Shareef.

During the meetings, issues concerning Tajikistan’s bilateral relations with Algeria, Iraq and Saudi Arabia were discussed.
